Poems Niederngasse

I Can Not Be Serious

lying on my back
in an unmade bed
around noon

thinking about Johnny Mac
and the U.S. Open

tossing a light green fuzzy tennis ball
up and down
back and forth
from hand to hand
until it falls on the floor

staring at a blank ceiling

wondering if I should finish his book
read Nabakov
clean
watch TV
write
eat
or do something semi-productive
with my day
