and why should bark

be worse than bite
said the tree imagined
twice bitten thrice shy
said the woof bird
sitting on a branch
next to a pair
of draconic jaws
all teeth and bare bone
flying by a warped bird
whistled like a cat
the bingo tree
felt like a building
under construction
the feeling quite imaginary
the tree quite imaginary
the woof bird and the warped
imaginary also
which leaves just
the cat's whistle
hanging between you and me
like some surrealistic
ram's horn
