Sunday Morning

Shadows slink from the room
as hot night fades to morning light

and she, in fetal form on crumpled sheets,
lids shut like blinds against the day

unfolds with thigh and breast exposed
to reveal all in sleep.

Carol Bleichert: is retired and resides in Southern Onario, Canada with her husband Robert. She enjoys writing in her spare time. Her poetry has been published online in Bojoli, Triplopia, Short Stuff, Lotus Blooms Journal, Haiku Harvest and in print in 'Women of theWeb' anthology and most recently in Haiku Harvest.
