Your Favorite Dish

Washed -- the dishes;
my hair in rainfresh
scented shampoo.
Polished -- the silver;
my fingernails raspberry
créme high-shine gloss.
Dusted -- the furniture;
my body with lilac
perfumed powder.
Dressed -- the table for two;
myself in white satin
and soft silk.
Sifted -- the liter box;
the unpredicted
words of your call.
Mopped -- the floor;
vitriolic tears
with my linen kerchief.

Now what do I do --
with the liver and onions?
